CHOOSING YOUR HIRE VEHICLE
Can I choose the specific vehicle I want to hire?
As our fleet is rather extensive, it is not possible to ensure you have a particular vehicle that is within a specified category. That said, we will endeavor to get you the car you want, but this is subject to availability. We’ll show you an example from that group to give you a clear idea of the type of vehicle you will get.
The choice is yours. Simply pick your perfect hire car.
Remember to book at least 72 hours before your journey so we can prepare your car.

Is the vehicle image shown online the actual vehicle I have rented?
Our Fleet Guides indicate examples of the types of cars we have in particular car groups. The units shown are the cars we have in stock the most, but please be advised that we cannot guarantee a particular make or model as it depends on general availability and peak periods.
Fuel
Will my hire car come with a full tank of fuel?
Yes, all our hire cars come with a full tank of fuel. You have two options for returning your car.
Choose from:
1. Bring Back Full: If you return your hire car with a full tank of fuel, we won’t charge you.
2. Pay On Return: If you don’t return your hire car in full, we can refuel it when you bring it back. Our refueling rate can be found in our terms and conditions.

How far can I drive my hire car?
In Singapore, there is no mileage cap on our cars.

PAYING FOR YOUR HIRE VEHICLE
How can I pay for my hire vehicle?
You can pay online or at the counter when you collect your vehicle, using Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners/Discover debit, credit or charge cards.
There are several exceptions:
· We don’t accept cards with Solo, JCB or Cirrus logos.
· If you booked online using a PREPAID card, it must be shown at the counter along with another payment card.
The name on the payment card must match the name on the driver's license of the main driver.

When do I need to pay for my hire vehicle?
You can either pay for your vehicle when you book online, or when you collect your hire vehicle.
If you choose to pay when you book online, we’ll dip/swipe your card to gain authorization. If you choose to pay at the station, we’ll dip/swipe your card to charge the estimated full hire cost (including extras) at this point.
Please note that additional charges may be required after you have checked your vehicle in. Charges include, but are not limited to, damage, excessively dirty, smoke, pet hair, fuel top-up, and additional days.

I am an Avis Preferred member. How do I pay?
When you signed up for Avis Preferred you provided your preferred payment method. We use this each time you book. You can update your profile and change the payment card at any time.
Can I pay by cash?
We only accept cash in the form of Singaporean Dollars (SGD) as payment for your rental. Please be advised that we also do not offer change, so please ensure that the cash you pay is the exact amount.
Furthermore, we will require an additional payment card in the event of any post-rental charges that may apply to your rental. A Pre-Authorised hold of SGD$300 on this card, and will only show on your bank statement for 7-10 days, depending on your bank, before being released by your bank.
Remember to bring your payment card when you pick up your hire vehicle. This must be in the same name as the main driver.
I have a company account; do I need my own credit card?
When checking out a car, it is often required that a credit card is presented at the counter. This ensures that any additional charges that are not typically covered by a company can be purchased and or charged.
